How'd I do?
I got 4/5 here. The best on the net... yippee. And it's all thanks to my insider sources at the screening as well as extensive research. Exhausting but worth it. Now if only I could get my hands on all the screeners!
Who Got Robbed?
Who knows? We never get to see more than 1/4th of these... if that. But some high profile Miramax candidates, The Son's Room and Italian for Beginners were snubbed. Two Globe nominees that are now playing stateside Monsoon Wedding and Y Tu Mama Tambien (both recommended by The FiLM EXPERiENCE) were not submitted to the Academy in the selection process.
Who Might Think About Writing a Speech?

It's a race between Amélie and No Man's Land. But given Amélie's multiple nominations in other categories and its box office in particular... it looks like a surefire winner -despite recent losses elsewhere. Or is it? Given the Academy rules that those voting on foreign pictures must see all five nominees -Son of the Bride and No Man's Land both stand a chance. I'm going for the upset. I'll probably lose the wager but "no guts. no glory"

Who Should Win
I've only seen 3 of these Amélie, Lagaan, and No Man's Land. So I can't really say but of those -No Man's Land is the best. After I get my eyes on Elling and Son of the Bride I'll know for sure.
