And the Oscar goes to Harvey Krumpet ...which has proved itself a real awards magnet for some time now.
I predicted Destino... because of its fame: the Dali/Disney backstory.

MY THOUGHTS

I've only seen DESTINO and GONE NUTTY but I hope to see the others soon. They usually play here in NYC shortly before the Oscars. I scored 4/5 in my predictions here...missing Nibbles for Eternal Gaze.

the high profile snub:
ETERNAL GAZE
Sam Chen
(Official Site)(16+ minutes)
Which qualified for this race four times over (!!!) with numerous festival prizes. It's imagined tale is the final years of sculptor Alberto Giacometti's life.

also snubbed:
THE AMAZING JORGE (Film Roman) / EARLY BLOOMER
Kevin Johnson-Played before Daddy Day Care apparently -this is a short about a tadpole's coming of age.
(9 minutes) (Official Site)/ ROCKFISH (Blur Studios)/ THE TOLL COLLECTOR Rachel Johnson (Official Site) (? minutes)/ THE HUNGER ARTIST / ANANDA

And the Oscar goes to FINDING NEMO
as everyone predicted.

My Thoughts
Just as we all expected. I scored 3/3 on my predictions here. Not hard to do since there just wasn't much real competition this year.

Snubbed:
LOONEY TUNES: BACK IN ACTION
/ MILLENIUM ACTRESS (Dreamworks)
The only other films that seemed to stand even a remote chance. / TOKYO GODFATHERS From the director of Millenium Actress. Now playing in major markets / JUNGLE BOOK 2 (Disney) / JESTER ILL (TILL EULENSPIEGEL) / RUGRATS GO WILD (Paramount) / PIGLET'S BIG MOVIE (Disney) / POKEMON HEROES (Miramax)
