How'd I do in Predictions?
|
||||
| My predictions I scored 80% of this category with 4/5 -I chose Jim Sheridan for In America as my fifth slot. I never saw the City of God director coming. And that's quite a feat. A film released in January that didn't make the foreign film cut last year. Wow. He wasn't even listed in my top 15 competitors. | ||||

Who Got Robbed
|
||||
Quentin
Tarantino for the completely snubbed Kill Bill, Volume
One. His was certainly one of the most forceful auteur
pieces this year -and more than made a case for his complete
grasp of filmmaking. But we knew they weren't going there
-due to genre and the show-off aspects surrounding the film.
This is a pretty respectable list, otherwise, I must say.
You can make cases for some other people (Gus Van Sant who
had a good year for one) but this list is fine. |
