OSCAR SYMPOSIUM

with your host Nathaniel and five very special guests
February 2010

February 24th, 2010
It's that time again. Welcome to the the 5th Annual Oscar Symposium. We started with the films/Oscar race of 2005 (what a year that was) and we're still going.

Every year the exact lineup of participants changes -- if you want it in modern superhero terms, this is the Avengers. Roll Call! Please welcome back Karina Longworth (LA Weekly) from 2008's panel, Sasha Stone (Awards Daily) from 2006 and 2007, Tim Robey (The Telegraph) from 2007 and two first-timers I'm very pleased to introduce Peter Knegt (IndieWire) and Guy Lodge (In Contention). Click on their names any time throughout this symposium and you'll be whisked away to their fine work at their respective sites.

Read DAY ONE
in which we all play reality television games with the Oscar nominees, Tim smells something funny and Sasha stays classy
Read DAY TWO

in which we debate various noms, Guy reveals the secret "bore 'em" Oscar strategy, Peter dumps Summer and Karina finds a happy place
Read DAY THREE
in which Nathaniel plays his favorite party game, everyone loves The Hurt Locker and Sandra trounces Streep (sniffle)
